Payment - we accept all forms of payment

Hot Rod Shift Knob accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express), you may also checkout via Paypal (if you have an account, Checks and money orders for payment which can be mailed to the address on the checkout page). Our online security provides ordering with maximum security and privacy. Credit card orders are authorized and charged on the day the order is received, and in-stock shift knobs are mailed within a couple days, while custom orders, such as shift pattern shift knobs, that could take up to 4-6 weeks.    

Shipping - takes approx 2-7 business days  - Unless this is a custom shift knob, custom means: anything embedded, inlaid, engraved or something that needs a special request those order take approx 6-8 weeks.

Priority mail shipping is $8.75 - Most in-stock orders are normally shipped within a 1-2 days of ordering unless this is the busy Christmas period, then it will not get to you. Shipping to Canada is shipped via US Postal First Class postage and takes approx 5-10 days, while shipments to Asia, Australia, Europe, and other global destinations are by way of USPS PRIORITY International mail, therefore tracked and insured, and can take anywhere of up to 10 days to -2 weeks.

Replacement Policy - we accept returns except customs (unless it comes back as damaged with scratches, etc.)


  • Defective or damaged merchandise may be returned for replacement within 10 days of receipt.
  • Replacement will be made 'in kind' for the original item.
  • Shipping costs incurred in sending defective or damaged merchandise to us will be reimbursed.
  • We require that you e-mail or phone 512-773-2674 for pre-approval prior to returning damaged merchandise for replacement. Then we will supply you with a correct address to ship to.

Merchandise must be returned exactly as received, including original packaging, and the brass reducer along with jam nut that was shipped with the order, if this isn't included there will be a $5 replacement charge that will be deducted from your credit card refund. There will also be a deduction of $3.00 to cover shipping if at that time we provided FREE shipping on your order. Please enclose a copy either of your invoice (that you printed from our web page) or a copy of the order confirmation we e-mailed to you, and mail to:
